Mad props to Fresh Prince, Will Smith & Jada Pinket-Smith on becoming apart of the ownership group of the Philadelphia 76ers Basketball Team. This great news was announced yesterday, October 18th.
Unfortunately, the NBA lock out still stands. However, on a lighter note, once the lock out does ends Adam Akron, CEO of the 76ers, & his ownership group agreed they will slash the ticket prices.
“I’m announcing today that going forward, we are slashing – and I mean slashing – ticket prices on individual game tickets on just under 9,000 seats at the Wells Fargo Center for each and every Sixers home game,” Aron said. He continues onto saying that its not a sale or promotional stunt. That it will indeed be the new ticket prices.
According to CSNPhilly.com, Aron said tickets in the lower bowl of the arena will go for as low as $29 – last season the cheapest lower bowl ticket was $54. That’s a 46 percent decrease. What’s more, a center court ticket in rows 8-15 of the mezzanine bowl, covering 10 sections, will cost $20, down from $45 last season – a 56 percent cut.
Now, how great is that for the Sixers’ Fans?
